HOURGLASS T001

Developed in Berlin, HOURGLASS T001 finds its roots in the brutalist architecture that shapes the city’s urban landscape. The project revolves around a formal duality: introducing subtle, fluid curves to soften the severity of rigid structural blocks, while maintaining a raw and uncompromising physical presence. Engineered to align with contemporary mobility and spatial efficiency, the piece was designed around a flat-pack assembly logic. The aluminum sheet is worked to deliver maximum structural integrity once assembled, while allowing for effortless dismantling, minimal storage volume, and a streamlined shipping footprint. Free from any single prescribed function, the module operates as an independent piece, a standalone side table or sculptural stool, as well as an elementary building block. Through repetition, stacking, and reconfiguration, the units merge into a tailored shelving system whose play of shadows and raw finish bring rhythm and character to any space.
