PIASTRELLA

PIASTRELLA stems from a strict design constraint: developing a dynamic visual composition from a fixed set of ceramic tiles. Drawing primary inspiration from the vivid palette and architectural details of the Villa Majorelle, the project explores how color, rhythm, and layout can transform a simple grid into an expressive surface. The study extends beyond tile selection to focus on the interplay between geometry and detail. By experimenting with varied arrangements and intentionally integrating tinted grout lines as an active design element rather than a functional boundary, the system turns structural constraints into a vibrant graphic landscape for contemporary interiors.
